Introducing AbsaID, a more secure and safer banking experience. Register now with the Absa Banking App to activate facial recognition and use the same login details for Absa Online Banking.

Let's get started:

  1. Download the Absa Banking App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Open the Banking App and tap Add user.
  3. Select "I already have an account" and follow the steps.
  4. Once your mobile registration is complete, come back to Absa Online Banking and login using your new details.

Registration for digital banking

  • Online registration is only enabled for individuals and sole proprietors right now.
  • Available in English and Afrikaans.
  • We recommend using a smartphone as you will need to approve transactions.

Sole proprietor registration

Register as a sole proprietor for Absa Online Banking using the Absa Banking App.

Download and install the Absa Banking AppDownload from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Huawei AppGallery.

Open the Banking App and tap "Add user"Follow the on-screen prompts to begin sole proprietor registration.

Select "Sole proprietor" when promptedEnter your business account number and South African ID number.

Complete verificationVerify your identity using AbsaID Facial Biometrics or a one-time PIN.

Return to Online Banking and log inUse your new credentials to log in to Absa Online Banking.
